Description
A large handsome evergreen tree, up to 15 m tall, with dark brown, rough, corky-cracked bark, imparipinnate leaves, crowded at the ends of branchlets, containing 9-19 elliptic or oblong-ovate leaflets, numerous erect, sessile, dull-white, subglobular flowers, males in solitary axillary panicles, females in axillary or supra-axillary solitary spikes, and yellow or purplish, 3-valved, fleshy, globular fruits with oblong, oily seeds and scarlet aril.
