A large, laticiferous, twining shrub with tuberous roots, reddish tinged stem, opposite, glabrous, ovate to cordate leaves, fleshy, fragrant, creamy white flowers with purple patches, in cymes, broad, thick follicles with blunt ends containing numerous ovoid, flat, seeds winged along the margin, ending in a silky white coma. |
