| A small, much-branched, evergreen tree with a short and often buttressed bole, thin, grey bark, broadly ovate to ovate-oblong or ovate lancoelate leaves with numerous red glands beneath, small dioecious flowers, in spikes and globose, 3-lobed capsules, densely covered with reddish-brown glandular hairs containing black, sub-globose, smooth seeds. | ||||||
