| An erect, succulent, highly aromatic herb, with hispidly villous fleshy stem, broadly ovate, thick and fleshy leaves, small purple flowers, in dense whorls at distant intervals in long slender racemes and fruit of 4 orbicular or ovoid, smooth nutlets. | ||||||
