Description
A large, handsome tree, up to 40 m tall, with characteristic bark, buttressed trunk, broadly elliptic leaves, clustered towards the ends of branches, solitary, simple, greenish-yellow flowers in axillary spikes and brown, tomentose, globular, obscurely 5-angled fruits.
