| Research Experience/Expertise |
17 years of research experience in the field of plant taxonomy and medicinal plants. Worked in Tamil Nadu Forest Department, Nilgiris district for nearly 7 years. After that for 7 years in Foundation for Revitalisation of Local Health Traditions (FRLHT), Bangalore, and conducted several botanical surveys and transect studies in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra under in situ and ex situ conservation programmes of medicinal plants. Possesses wide field experience and knowledge on flora, capable of identifying plants from sea level to higher altitudes, especially in the Western Ghats, Shola-grassland and Evergreen forest flora of South India. |
