Phytochemistry

3 years of research experience in phytochemical characterization of medicinal plants, isolation and characterization of bioactive molecules, controversial raw drug studies etc. Experienced in analytical method development for the assay of bioactive markers in raw drugs/ formulations using HPLC, HPTLC, GC etc.

Co- Investigator of two externally funded projects:

• Characterization of Ayurvedic medicinal plants conserved in the field gene bank (2006-09, Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India)
• Micropropagation and in vitro conservation of Operculina turpethum and genetic fidelity analysis, (2005-08, Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, Govt. of Kerala)

• Guidance to Post Graduate Students: Guided the project work of 16 Post Graduate students of Bio chemistry and Chemistry, of various universities
